Commitment to Excellence
Brooks is an organization with servant leaders at the helm and a place where every person can make a difference. We are a team of people who come together for a mission that changes lives.
At Brooks, we believe that respect and appreciation for all our employees is critical to delivering world-class rehabilitation care to everyone who walks through our doors. We recognize the importance of creating an environment in which all employees feel valued, included and empowered to do their best work each day.
Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Council is comprised of more than a dozen employees across our system of care who have diverse backgrounds, positions and life experiences. The Council helps increase employee connection and competency and ensures policies, procedures and practices promote the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our organization. From training and development to mentoring opportunities and regular listening sessions, we will continue to innovate our approach to inclusivity.
Our Crowdsourcing initiative allows all employees to participate in innovative problem solving. An employee or group of employees submits a business-related idea that can directly improve:
a patient, resident or love one’s experience with Brooks
– quality of patient outcomes
– employee engagement
– the community
Employees vote for the top ideas to be fully vetted, researched and potentially implemented. Our Aphasia Center, Helen’s House and Brain Injury Clubhouse are just a few examples of ideas that have become realities through this program.
